Our Children Are Lacking Good Examples
We often talk about how much more difficult it is for kids to travel the journey to adulthood today — or at least the journey to responsible, successful and happy adults. On the other hand, today, it takes strong and ever-vigilant parents to raise those children who become adults capable of standing up for honesty, integrity and time-honored values. Beyond a doubt it's a joint venture or even, as has been said, a village.

I have taught elementary school for the past 15 years. ... Teachers are not against testing students or being held accountable for student academic growth. But if a teacher is going to be held accountable for the academic growth of a child during the period the teacher has the student, the following has to be taken into consideration:
